Remove orphaned SQL Server Replication Publications
After adding and dropping SQL Server Replication several times, there were some orphaned publications that appeared in the replication monitor, but not under the Database Replication node in Enterprise Studio.
To clean them up, the following worked:
1. Add a new publication using the same name as the orphaned record (just publish one table).
2. Immediately delete the publication after it has been created. (no subscriptions are needed).
The orphaned records should now be gone.
