project could not be opened because the microsoft visual c# compiler could not be created QueryService for '{7D960B16-7AF8-11D0-8E5E-00A0C911005A}' failed
Issue:
Visual studio 2010 crashes when you open a project. Errors include:
project could not be opened because the microsoft visual c# compiler could not be created QueryService for '{7D960B16-7AF8-11D0-8E5E-00A0C911005A}' failed
and
the 'vsdebugpresentationpackage version=10.0.0.0 package did not load correctly

Cause:
Installing the Motorola Device Manager to connect to an android device installed SQL2008 framework with .NET 2010 express, which cause VS 2010 to stop working.
(or whatever software you installed that came with SQL2008 or an earlier express version of .NET.)

Does not work:
Re-run the Installer file for VS2010 Professional (web installer or CD) and select the 'repair' option, then reapply all service packs and updates.
Does not work:
Uninstall VS and reinstall VS:
Worked:
Roll back entire computer using system restore to before Motorola software was installed.

Then install ONLY the drivers, and NOT the device manager. It is hard to get just the drivers... however I finally found them here, under the post by dubidu (down the page; the first link was not correct):

Surely Microsoft/Motorola could fix these versioning issues with .NET by now; it has been an issue since 2.0!
