Poram
In ages past it stood mighty, but now its people are enslaved, its works forgotten. - Jibani Xawa

A planet long taken over by the Vorians, deep in current Vorian Space, a few planets interior from Casura (was free at various times)
Where the scientists built the ships.
Star Pilwyr

It was originally home to the Clourri.

Millenia ago, Poram had been mighty, populated with cloud-dwelling Clourii who had built an elaborate network of floating highways and cities criss-crossing the world; nearly the entire sky was an Atlantis.
But the Vorians arrived in the system, scouting out new worlds to devour as was their habit, and never before had they encounter so advanced a society, as they were young then, for this was long before their glory days when a hundred planets might fall in a year. The small fleet of Vorian miners, colonists, and brigadiers who had been authorized to take the planet were not prepared to take on so numerous a foe, especially when the Clourii could not only fly but also survive without atmosphere, as they were physically more similar to the HHeLi than to the carbon-based Vorians.
The Vorians were quick thinkers and a plan would soon devised. A nearby asteroid belt was hijacked, the paths of fifteen huge monoliths diverted onto a collision course with Poram.
When they hit, there was such an explosion as cannot be imagined. Billions of Clourii died and the planet itself broke apart into two major fragments, the smaller fragments flying away. Two half-spheres now orbited each other, their inner sides an ocean of magma which slowly cooled and solidified. A smattering of Clourri who dwelt away from the major fault line survived the violent winds and firestorms, but they were easily subjugated and taken as slaves by the Vorians. The world (or more technically two half-worlds) was so decimated that it was of little use for agriculture, but the seam down the middle yielded a far greater treasure. It took centuries for the exposed center to cool and solidify, but as it did, vast amounts of rare minerals were extracted. At first these were exported in exchange for food and other goods, but in time Poram itself came to house the greatest of Vorian factories. The fabled space-time ships were invented, designed, and built in Poram, for its wealth attracted the greatest Vorian engineers. It was these very space-time ships which enabled Yural the governor of Poram to amass such power, uniting the Vorians under his banner and ushering in the dramatic epoch of Vorian expansion. Yural???s original name and title were forgotten, for from then on he was known to all as simply ???The Dictator???, and terrifying were his deeds all the way up to the Second Great War with the Xenonites around 700 A.D , which concluded with his sudden and unexpected disappearance and subsequent surrender of the Vorians to Xenonite supervision.

Daved passed the star Pilwyr in Yellowbeam, noting its space elevator connecting the halves.

"We will headquarter at old Ell-Temme, where the factories once stood. We will build a new capital named Ell-Phoenix, for they shall rise again.??? - Alexander
